Deepest sympathy to all of Lucille's family. She was a great lady and an excellent organist. She was my teacher for 5 years and re-aquainted me with all the great standards of the 30's & 40's. She left a priceless legacy of music. Each time I went to a lesson, I would get 6 more pieces of music to learn before the next two weeks were up. She was part of a time when the organ was the prime instrument and the Hammond Organ studio was in operation. I loved to listen to her stories about great Buffalo music makers and especially her teacher, Carlo. Lucy was still taking lessons herself well into her 80's. The times I spent with her at her home at Rock Oak Estates, then at the Claremont were priceless. I will treasure those days. She lived a full life and a rich one and left this old world a better place because of her love for music and her willingness to share that love. My deepest sympathy.
