Our condolences Wendy and to Madeline's extended family. She is part of so many of our stories - as inspiration, mentor, co-worker, legend. One memory of her I will always have is Madeline blessing/dedicating/clearing the space for our first outdoor Pride Celebration on the Erie County Historical Society steps in 1991. I believe she also sang, and told the story of the Stonewall riots to all the assembled brave women and men, gay and lesbian, allies and family and friends. May her memory be a blessing - as her life has certainly been full and powerful. With much love, Betsy Swift and Barbara Manke

Madeline became a true sister and mentor to me back in 1972 at the Women's Studies College. She helped to shape my feminist consciousness while guiding me in ways that radically changed my life ... especially during a time when my life really needed changing! Thank you Madeline for your service to our world. We will all miss having you in it. Hug and kiss to Wendy. Sincerely, Franny Pici (Peachy)

A true trailblazer in the LGBTQ+ Community both locally and nationwide. A person of class and vision--surely to be missed in today's fractious world. I had the honor of working with her when she was in "Theatrical Mode."

Such a wonderful person, knew her in the early 70's. Such a wonderful voice when she sang her folk songs. She will be greatly missed. A angel she was and now a true Angel she is.
