Of Amherst, NY, age 82. Beloved wife of 64 years to Charles L. Gilbert. Born in Luthersburg, PA, she was the daughter of the late Eugene & Arvilla (nee Swartzlander) Hartzfeld. Devoted mother of Richard (late Ann Giuseppetti) Gilbert, Brenda (David) Burow, Sally (Stephen) Guiliani, Jeffrey (Jennifer) Gilbert, and the late Janet Gilbert. Cherished grandmother of seven grandchildren and fifteen great-grandchildren. Dear sister of Llyn (Donna) Hartzfeld and predeceased by Viola (late William) Miknis, Robert (Barbara) Hartzfeld, Howard (late Mary Alice) Hartzfeld, Betty (late Maurice) Price, James (Kathy) Hartzfeld, Glenn (Sandy) Hartzfeld, Rebecca (Alan) Spencer, Roberta (John) Berger, and infants Helen and George Hartzfeld; also survived by many nieces, nephews and family. The family will be present Wednesday, August 20, 2025 from 4-7 PM at the (Amherst Chapel) AMIGONE FUNERAL HOME, INC., 5200 Sheridan Dr. (at Hopkins Rd.). Funeral Services to be celebrated in DuBois, Pa. In lieu of flowers, Memorials may be made to the Hospice Foundation of WNY, PO Box 590, Buffalo, NY 14240-0590. Share condolences at www.AMIGONE.com
