Loving, loyal, generous, and supportive, Michael Thomas Baldo graced this world with his vibrant spirit and warm heart on March 2, 1988, in Buffalo, NY. Known by all as Michael, he was a beacon of light in the lives of all who knew him, embodying kindness and compassion in every sense of the words. Michael's love for the culinary arts led him to a fulfilling career as a Chef at Wegman's, where he led, guided & taught everyone. Formerly of Orchard Park, NY, he made his home in South Corning, New York, where he continued to spread love and warmth. Above all, what mattered most to Michael was his family. He was never married, but he found his soulmate in his beloved fiancée, Kim Paulin and his beloved cats, Boots and Pants. His parents, Paul and Phyllis Baldo, his brother, David Baldo, sister, Stephanie Baldo, and future in-laws Eileen & Mike Paulin, and their son Tom Paulin, and nephews to be, Brock & Elliott Paulin survive him. Each of them held a unique and special place in Michael's heart, and his love and loyalty to them were unwavering. Michael's departure from this world on October 11, 2023, leaves a void that can never be filled. However, his indomitable spirit and the memories he gifted us will forever remain. Calling hours will be held on Thursday October 19th from 1 - 3 PM and 5 - 7 PM at Haughey Funeral Home, Inc. 216 East First Street in Corning where funeral services will be held on Friday at 10:00 AM with Deacon Dave LaFortune officiating. To honor Michael's life, we encourage all who knew him to share their memories and photographs on his memorial page.
