Of East Amherst, NY on January 2, 2023. Beloved husband of Nancy (nee Adams) Bloom. Father of Joshua, Rebecca, An-drew (Rachel), and Eric Bloom. Grandfather of Savannah. Brother of Nadine Bloom. I was a patient of Dr. Bloom. He was a very kind and understanding person. He saved my life and I am extremely grateful. He made me not to be afraid of doctors. Very sorry for your loss and the medical field. He will greatly missed.

This is such sad news. Mike and I first met when we both took piano lessons from the same teacher in Amsterdam NY. We were in the same homeroom in 7th grade, and were together in most classes doing our years at Amsterdam High. The AHS class of 1970 mourns.

I was extremely saddened as I´m sure we all were to hear of Dr. Bloom´s death. I worked in his office as the phlebotomist/lab tech for several years during my career. Those were one of the best and most memorable years of my career. Dr. Bloom, along with his wonderful staff made my career both rewarding and satisfying. Till this day I remember those years so fondly and will never forget them. My condolences to his family during this difficult time - Annie Johnson

Michael and I grew up together in Amsterdam, NY. He was a few years older but I remember him as a kind older friend. His father and mother were leaders of the Jewish community, his father was the Rabbi. I remember him from religious school and services as he was often helping to lead the services by high school and would come from college for the high holidays to lead the services. I'm sure he was a great doctor, he was very compassionate and a leader at a young age. On behalf of our congregation and it's diaspora my prayers are with his family. I will see if I have an old photo to share.

So sorry to hear of the passing of Dr. Bloom. I was a patient of Dr. Bloom for several years. I always he cared a great deal about his patients. It was always a pleasure to visit him. Dr. Bloom was a first class physician. He was my doctor growing up and came to MFSH to see my son when he was born. I´ll never forgot his words that day- he made me feel like my child was the most beautiful baby in the world! He was so kind, compassionate, and took time with each patient. He was also one of the sharpest dressers; I loved his socks, monogrammed shirts and cuff links -imperceptibly dresses to match his impeccable care! We were lucky to have had such a wonderful man to provide care to our family for so many years. Thoughts and prayer to his family.

We as a family are so sad to hear this. We started seeing Dr. Bloom after the birth of our son Patrick in December 1986. We cherished our relationship with him, his staff over all these years and especially the recent years with him, Becky and Lois. We met Mike when he was a resident at St. Joseph´s hospital in Syracuse. We became friends with long gaps between meetings. He became our Buffalo area families physician.
