Michael CARUANA Obituary
Of Buffalo, entered into rest on October 29, 2021. Cherished son of Stephanie Ruffino (Tony Losi) and the late Anthony F. Caruana; dear brother of Jeffrey (Colleen) Caruana; loving partner of Jennifer Anderson and children Alexis and Michaela; also survived by loving aunts, uncles and cousins. Michael was a Buffalo School teacher, who enjoyed his years spent working with his students. Relatives and friends may visit the LOMBARDO FUNERAL HOME (Northtowns Chapel), 885 Niagara Falls Blvd. near Eggert/Sheridan Dr., on Wednesday from 4-8 PM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at Holy Spirit Church, 85 Dakota St., Buffalo on Thursday morning at 9 o'clock (please assemble at church). It hurt my heart deeply to hear the sad news of Mike's passing. I was blessed to call Michael a colleague and friend at Hillery Park. Mike was a great team member, he enjoyed the kids and they looked forward to his fun projects. I loved our long conversations (especially during testing time) and at the end of the year where I had the pleasure of sharing a lot of time with him in my classroom. He was generous, kind, intelligent, and down to Earth. He was talented and incredibly interesting with many tales to tell. I have missed him & will continue to do so for a long time to come.
I admired his valiant fight and through it all, he was still a gentle soul. I will remember him fondly always and be grateful I got to know him, even for a short time. He is and always will be a Hillery Park Huskie.
To his loved ones, I prayed for your comfort during this difficult time as he flies with angels and be your guiding light forever. God bless you!
