WACLAWSKI - Michael "Mick" July 2, 2014, of Buffalo, NY, beloved son of Elsie (Werneiwski) and the late Thaddeus J. "Ted" Waclawski; loving brother of Gary (Jessie) Waclawski and Donna (Paul) Wendzikowski; dear uncle of Sara (Todd) Martin, Andrew Wendzikowski and Nicholas Waclawski; cherished great-uncle of Emily Anastasia Martin and Sarah Wendzikowski Hirose; also survived by aunts, an uncle, cousins and many friends. Mick was seriously injured in a toboggan accident in February 1980. He had lived the past 34 years as a quadriplegic and was dependent on a ventilator for his breathing. Despite his injuries, he lived life to the fullest with the help of his best friend and long-time nurse, John Martin. He enjoyed the camaraderie and participation of amateur radio with the Extra Class call sign of KB2MSW and was a long-time member of the Southtowns Amateur Radio Society. Mr. Waclawski donated his body to the SUNY at Buffalo Anatomical Gift Program. Family and friends are invited to attend a Memorial Mass on Monday, July 14 at 11 AM at St. Timothy's Church, 565 East Park Dr., Tonawanda, NY. If desired, memorials may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, PO Box 50, Memphis, TN 38101.

Michael was a wonderful young man. While I only knew him for a short time, when he was a young man he had the personality that made you smile. I am sorry to hear of his passing and of the sadness of his family. He is free from pain now and has had a wonderful reunion with his Dad. Mrs. Waclawski my thoughts are with you.

I had taken care of Mick a few times working agency. He was a great guy! He used to tell me how to cook things he wanted. Every now and then he would call to talk. He will be missed!!!!

My mother formed a strong bond with Michael when she was a cleaning lady at ECMC and his room was within her cleaning station speaking of him on a daily basis. She would want us to extend our sympathies to his family and therefore I am doing so now in honor of her. Michael may you rest in peace and now that the earthly restrictions you suffered have been lifted fly high among the Angels and know you will be missed by those whose lives you touched without ever knowing them personally. The family of Grace Jaskowiak.

I remember Michael at ECMC when he came in for blood work. He had the most wonderful, beautiful smile and though it was difficult to understand him, I always enjoyed talking to him. Michael had a great personality. I am sure he will be missed by many.

Mrs. Waclawski and family, My deepest sympathy in the loss of Michael. I haven't seen him in years but he was always in the back of my mind as a great friend and "Paper Boy" of my family while growing up in the old neighborhood of Grant and Bradley!! He ALWAYS had a smile on his face and a kind word for everyone. We were with him the night of the accident and knew that he would come out of it a stronger person in more ways then just physical. He will be missed by everyone. God has a new angel that he has waited 34 years longer for so he could give and receive love to his family and friends. Mike is now at peace and is walking with his Father again and will always be a guardian angel to everyone that he loved.Gods Blessings to you and your family...
