Nancy E. Bace (nee Altieri) of Buffalo, entered into rest to be with the angels on September 11, 2025. Loving wife of Michael R. Bace and devoted mother of Debbie (Richard) Wendel-Chojecki, Denise (Thomas) Zgoda, and the late Robert Bace. Cherished grandmother of Caitlin, Ashlie, Colin, Chelsea (Kyle), and Lauren. Nancy was predeceased by her parents, Dorothy and Joseph Altieri, and her sister Joanne (Kellner). Survived by six siblings and many nieces and nephews. Nancy's take-charge attitude, paired with her rare ability to reach and connect with others, led to a long and meaningful career in public service. She first earned a degree as a Substance Abuse Counselor, and later fulfilled her goal of becoming a Registered Nurse, working for many years in local hospitals, schools, and home care. While proud of her professional achievements, Nancy found her deepest joy in her family. She loved to decorate and host family holidays, cheer passionately for the Buffalo Bills, vacation with her husband, and spend time with her beloved grandchildren. She was an amazing wife, mother, grandmother, mentor, and friend - a woman of deep compassion, strength, and faith. She will be missed by many and remembered always. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to causes close to Nancy's heart: St. Luke's mission of Mercy and Oishei Children's Hospital A private service was held at Holy Cross Cemetery.
