Paul Healy Obituary

Healy, Paul J.

Jul 10, 1935 - Sep 21, 2025

Affectionately known as Paul, Bubby, Honey, Dad, and Poppa, passed away peacefully on September 21, 2025, surrounded by his family. He was 90 years old. Paul was born in Eggertsville and graduated from the Little Seminary High School. He married the love of his life, Joan Grundtisch, in 1957 and settled in East Aurora, N.Y. Paul was a certified arborist and the founder of Healy Tree Service. As an avid sailor, he spent many years on Lake Erie and even ventured through the Intracoastal Waterway to Florida. Paul and Joan have been longtime members of the Buffalo Power Squadron and China Light Yacht Club. Paul and Joan enjoyed their winters in Palm Beach Gardens, Florida, where he loved gardening, relaxing on the beach, and spending time with friends at Monet Acres. He will be remembered for his kind heart, sense of humor, and devotion to his family. Survived by his loving wife of 67 years, Joan, his brother Richard (Helen), his six children: Michael (Nancy), Colleen (Christopher Walsh), Brigid (Richard Allen), Patrick (Debra), Megan (Allen Jaworski), and Paul (Lynette), his 13 grandchildren: Amanda, Nicole (Josh Broady), Jimmy, Matthew, Jeremiah (Leah), Cora, William, Ryan (Kate), Shane (Elena), Peyton (Devon), Parker, Ethan, and Sarah, and his seven (soon to be eight) great grandchildren; Eli, Conrad, Lenny, Dakota, Jameson, Colman, Declan, and baby boy Healy (due in November). He is predeceased by his brother Jeremiah (Jeanne). A celebration of life will be planned for a future date. "May the winds of fortune sail you, May you sail a gentle sea. May it always be the other guy, who says, 'this drink's on me.'"
