Paul McCARTHY Obituary
August 7, 2023. Beloved husband of Marilyn C. (nee McGroarty) McCarthy. Devoted father of Paul (late Marta), Joel (Blica), Anne Patrice, Scott, Richard and Gabriel McCarthy. Loving grandfather of Erin Clare, Nicholas and Kathy. Fostered 19 children. Dear brother of the late Alice, Mary, James, Robert and Nelson. Also survived by many nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends at the C. Mertz and Son Funeral Home, Inc., 911 Englewood Ave., Sunday from 1-5 PM. All are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial at St. Theresa Church, 1974 Seneca St., Buffalo, NY 14210 Monday at 10:00 AM .In lieu of flowers, donations in Paul's memory to Hospice Foundation of WNY. Paul was an employee of the US Postal Service and a long time member of the Knights of Colombus (Nash Council). Please share condolences at www.mertzfh.com

Dear Marilyn and Family, Please accept my deepest sympathy at the of your loved one, Paul. Be assured of a special remembrance in my prayers and those of my Franciscan Community. I will be with you in spirit especially Sunday and Monday. We will have Mass here in Tampa will be at the same time as the funeral. Our Mass will be for Paul and for your family. Dear McCarthy Family,
I want you all to know that I think that Uncle Paul was a very special man. When my husband Brian passed he wrote me a beautiful letter. He seemed proud that one of his Nephew's was named after him. Brian Paul Fix was his name.
I will Cherish that letter for ever.
Thank You, Uncle Paul. You made that time for me a little better. Much Love to all.
My prayers are being said for all. Love you Aunt Marilyn.
