Peter ABBATE Obituary
It is with great sadness that the family of Peter J. Abbate announces his passing after a brief illness at the age of 59 on August 29. Peter will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 39 years Kathleen (née Novo) Abbate, his children Melissa (Joseph) Metz and Serena Abbate, siblings Rosanne (Dale) Missert and Salvatore (Renee) Abbate, grandchildren Patrick and Jonah Metz, and many cousins, nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and friends. Peter was pre-deceased by his parents Joan and Salvatore Abbate. He generously gifted his body to the University at Buffalo School of Medicine. A memorial mass will be held Saturday September 7 at 12:00 PM at Zion United Church of Christ at 15 Koenig Circle Tonawanda, NY 14150. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to the Kenmore Mercy Foundation via chsbuffalo.org.
