To My Cousins - Pete, Tom, Mark, Andy, Matt and Pam and their families,
From the first in the Bob Goergen family to receive stitches from Uncle Pete, I want to say how truly honored I am to have known him. He was a remarkable man and will always be remembered with fondess and much affection. Ahhh, his smile...it always kept us guessing, right? Take care of each other. It does get easier. I love you all.

I have known Dr. Goergen since the early 1970's @ KMH. His humility prevented him from self-congratulation, but he was an excellent physician who helped many people and an even better human being. My condolences to his family and friends. I hope you find solace in the celebration of his life.

Dr. Goergen was our family FP and my doc since I was a little kid. I'm not sure what I will miss more - his medical expertise, keen sense of humor or willingness to stitch me up on short notice. I really learned to respect him during my tenure at Jet Drugs where I got to see how his patience and knowledge were of benefit to so many people.
I remember the neighborhood and Parkview Cadets football games with the Goergen boys. It was really good their dad was an MD because they needed him almost as often as I did. I have very fond and warm memories of Dr. Goergen - he and his family were the essence of what made growing up in Parkview in the 60's and 70's memorable. I know he's in a special place right now but that's no surprise - he was a really special guy!

To all of Pete's family. Pete was the "Best Family Doctor"! He took care of me and my family with the utmost of caring, compassion, patience and medical knowledge. It's so great to see that he left so many to carry on his values!

Our condolances to Joan & all Peter's family. It has been an honor to have known & been cherished as friends by Dr. Pete. We will remember his quiet dignified persona that made us all feel welcomed to his family. He met us warmly at chance encounters exiting Wegmans,Buffalo Club, libraries or family Baptisms & graduations. Pete shared his gift of faithful service to all with his belief that it is God's plan each follows. We loved his spontaneity in family history, train collections, photography,& love of life & family. We have many wonderful memories of laughter, love and good times together.God bless you all, we know with Pete's great faith, he is with Our Lord Jesus and Blessed Mother Mary. Dear Joan and all the Goergen family,
It was so nice to see all of you yesterday,I only wish it were under happier circumstances.
At one time ,in all your lives ,I was your Dentist because I was also Peter's good friend. We both were students at UB during the same time and "pioneers to the Ellicott Creek area in 1957,and we enjoyed many good times back then.I am sure we will all miss him.

You just can't find doctors like Dr. Georgen anymore. A doctor who sincerely cared about you and would sit there and chat with you . My parents (Francis and Lois Rey) picked a good one ! I was lucky enough to have him and I was thrilled he was able to take care of my 1st born son for a few years before he retired. My condolences to the whole family.

I remember Dr. Goergen From KMH. He was always caring whether he was with patients, their families or co workers. I enjoyed working with him - he was a great example of what a physician should be.

Our prayers are with all of the families. We knew Pete by my daughter, Risa's marriage to Mark, and we spent many wonderful times together over the years. Pete was a wonderful man with a great sense of humor and quick smile.

I always knew him as Dr. Goergen, my childhood doctor for probably 22 years. Wonderful man, good heart, good doctor. Regards to Thomas - whom I think of from time to time. He was in my class.

Uncle Pete was a very special man. He will be remembered for his love of life and boundless energy. I was priviledged to be Aunt Elnor's "mother's helper" and babysitter to all my Goergen cousins.
I will treasure all the memories of the vacations we spent with the Goergens at Alleghany and the Adirondacks. Our prayers will be with Peter, Tom, Mark, Andy, Matt, and Pam (and their families)
