What a delight it was to have Roy as a friend and adopt him and Barbara into our lives as "Nana" and "Grandpa" all those years ago. Todd, Ashley, and Adam had wonderful times with them. Roy's charm, wit, and impish grin left such huge footprints on our hearts and will be a cherished part of my memories, and those of my children, forever. I can still see him and Barbara dancing the Lindy across the living room with grace and ease that would rival Fred and Ginger. Roy's ability to make all who met him feel comfortable was only surpassed by his love of music and the sound of laughter that was always around when he was. Roy taught me how to be young at any age, how to be courageous during difficult times, to always tell my family how much I love them, and how to glide across the living room like Ginger. What more could a gal ask for?
Dear Greg and Brian, thank you so very much for sharing your wonderful parents with me and the children. Roy and Barb were so very proud of you both. My thoughts and prayers are with you; I know how much you will miss him.

Grampa Roy...
I have yet to look at a carousel even once in my life without thinking of you! You were such a light in my life growing up! I used to truly cherish the times I would spend with you and Nana Barb! You were the closest thing I had to a grandfather as a little girl. You will be missed!
I send my truly heart-felt condolences to the entire family and any friends that were touched by such a wonderful man.

It's been many years since I last saw him. I wish he could have seen the man I have become today. I think he would have been proud of the little boy who knew him as Grampa Roy.
