Age 89, of Tonawanda, entered into rest on March 17, 2025. Beloved husband of the late Mary Ann (nee Spychala); devoted father of Julianne (Mohammed) Alsani, Janet Ann Weislo, Richard J. (Melinda) Weislo and Laura Jean (Emory Ball) Weislo; cherished grandfather of Derrick Michael Weislo, Brandon James Weislo and Michael Stephen Metzger; adored great-grandfather of Jacob, Nathan, Rowan, Riley and Cooper; predeceased by brothers and sisters; also survived by relatives and friends. The family will receive friends on Friday from 4-7 PM at the (Tonawanda Chapel) AMIGONE FUNERAL HOME, INC., 2600 Sheridan Dr. (corner of Parker Blvd). A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 9:30 AM on Saturday from St. Christopher Church, 2660 Niagara Falls Blvd. Private entombment to follow at Mt. Olivet Cemetery. After Dad retired from work I got to know the real Richard Weislo. He had a great sense of humor that we both shared. We got each other's jokes, and shared in the laughter. We were very much alike in some ways.
He was a loving and loyal father; always providing for his family, making sure we had everything we needed. He took care of us kids by being a responsible Dad.
In his later years the two of us shared a special relationship, and valued time together.
I love you, Dad, and will cherish our time together as buds.
