Of City of Tonawanda, NY, November 5, 2021. Beloved husband of Joanne (Hausman) DiBenedetto; dear father of Erin (Mark) Striegel, Robert S., Peter J. and Andrew M. DiBenedetto; father-in-law of Molly; loving grandfather of Kathleen and Michelle; brother of Josephine (late Richard) Westphal, Marianne (Henry) Balducci, Catherine (Martin) Maniscalco; brother-in-law of Marcus (Patricia) Hausman and the late David (Debra) Hausman; also survived by many cousins, nieces and nephews. Friends may call Monday 3-6 PM at the LESTER H. WEDEKINDT, INC. FUNERAL HOME, 3290 Delaware Ave. Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial on Tuesday at 11 AM in St. Timothy's Church, 565 East Park Dr., Tonawanda, NY. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Erie County SPCA, or the Newman Family Clubhouse of the Tonawanda Boys and Girls Club, 325 Franklin St., Tonawanda, NY 14150. Crestfallen to hear of Bob's death-- he was a remarkably decent, loyal and downright lovable friend and comrade throughout our adolescence and young adulthood on Crestwood Avenue in the 1960s. If anybody loved to laugh, it was Bobby D. Never forget summer nights on the front stoop at 197, with Bob, his endearing Mom, sisters Cathy and Marianne, and friends Lou, Wad, Billy and others. God will continue to bless him for the goodness of his life. Truly an ace of a man. Condolences to Joanne and their family.
