Ronald Case Obituary

Case, Ronald G.

Mar 24, 1941 - May 26, 2024

Ronald Gifford Case, a beloved husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend, passed away on May 26, 2024 at the age of 83. Surrounded by his loving family in his final moments, he was a man of immense humor and wisdom, cherishing every moment spent with his loved ones. Born on March 24, 1941, to the late Adrian and Lillian Case, in Rochester, NY, and survived by sister Joanne (Case) Green (d. Don Green), Ron was a Western New York native, spending his retirement years in Fort Myers, FL, and finally settling in New Smyrna Beach, FL, where he and his wife, Rosalind settled and became an interwoven part of the Sugar Mill community he loved and served.

Ron graduated from John Marshall High School in Rochester, NY, and went on to pursue his passion for music at the University of Miami, earning a Bachelor's Degree in Music and a Master's degree in Music from SUNY Fredonia. He began his career in Coral Gables, FL, and then transferred back home to Western New York in 1970, where he began his 41-year legacy in the Clarence School District as a highly respected music teacher and soccer coach.

In 2004, Ron married Rosalind (Roz) Andreozzi, and together, they built a life filled with love, laughter, faith, and strong friendships. Ron absolutely loved playing his trumpet, sharing it with anyone who would listen, from playing in swing bands, symphonies, brass quintets, and church services right up until two weeks before his passing.

Ron has three children with his former wife, Anne (Hoyt) Case: Cynthia (Case) Borgatti (David Zasucha), Lynnette Case-Remers (Dale Moore), and David Case (Laura). Rosalind has two children, David (d) and Rebecca (Coniglio) Chi (Nancy Chi). He adored all four children. This was evident in his incredible sense of humor, his knack for storytelling, and his unconditional love and devotion to each of them.

Ron's legacy is also carried on by his adored grandchildren, Bradley (Courtney), Jeffrey (Amanda), Ryan, Zachary, Erin, Steven, Nicole, Addison, and Sydnie, and great-grandchildren, Drew, Annie, and Benjamin. Each of them will remember their grandfather for his adoring love and humor and will dearly miss their yearly birthday call from Grandpa playing Happy Birthday on his trumpet.

Ron was adored by his sisters and brothers-in-law: Jeanette (Andreozzi) Brooks, John, Linda Andreozzi Phil, Mary Beth Andreozzi, Michael and Julie Andreozzi, and many nieces and nephews and loving extended family members.

A service to celebrate Ron's life will be held on Tuesday, June 4, 2024, at 11:00 am, at Coronado Community United Methodist Church, 201 South Peninsula Ave, New Smyrna Beach, Florida.

A celebration of life will be held in Clarence Center, NY, on Sunday, July 21, 2024, at 11:00 am at the Clarence Center Fire Hall, 9415 Clarence Center Road, Clarence Center, NY.
