Gary, Donna and kids,
Gary, this is your long-out-of-touch cousin, Tami (Rosenberg). I am so saddened to hear of Steve's passing. My mom asked me express her sincere sympathy as well (Esther Rosenberg Morse). Donna, as happens with 2nd and 3rd cousins, contact is often lost throughout the years. I saw Steve several years ago and we spoke about how you had settled in Kenmore because it was most like the neighborhoods we grew up in. We all used to walk to each other's homes and our doors were always open for each other. May the cherished memories of Steve and the shared sorrow of those closest to you help you in the days ahead.

Dear Berger family,
My name is Susan Siegel and my brother Hank Siegel and I know Steve through Phil and Barbara Bronstein. I actually attended a barbecue with Steve and the boys and heard the incredible and heroic stories of the tours in the Mid-East that I think it is Aaron told at Phil and Barbara's when my brother Hank prepared his famous barbecue. We were so sad to hear the news and wish to extend our deepest sympathies to your family and friends at this terrible loss.

Dear Berger family;
Steven and I were very close friends throughout high school and as often happens our lives grow apart. Sorrowful moments such as these fill me with profound feelings of regret, loss, and streaming memories. We have lost Joey, Keith and now Steve. My heavy heart goes out to all of you and may you find strength and comfort in the days ahead.

Dear Berger Family,
I went to school with Steve many decades ago, and I'm sorry to say I didn't stay in touch with him, but even now, I still remember him as a terrific guy with a great sense of humor and a real zest for life. I'm truly sorry for your terrible loss and that Steve left this world way too soon.

Dear Berger Family,
I am an old friend of Steve and Gary's from Taunton Pl. We played together on the weekends as our mother's were good friends and my grandmother lived a few doors away from your house. I have many fond memories of us as kids playing outside while our mothers gabbed away in your kitchen and occasionally the infamous "Jet" escape would make us run after him before your mother had a fit! Well, I am so very sorry for your loss and saddened when I think of those memories which are imbedded in one's mind. God bless you and yours at this time.
