- November 20. 2023
Of Tonawanda Twp. at age 40. Loving son of Steven and Darlene Koons; dear brother of Ryan and Melissa (Brian Clark) Koons; devoted uncle of Savannah, Kayden and Harper; also survived by aunts, uncles and cousins. Visitation at the KOLANO FUNERAL HOME, 396 Amherst St. (near Grant) Saturday, December 9th from 2-4PM. Funeral Service will take place at 4PM immediately following visitation. Steven loved animals and the outdoors and he especially loved to hunt. His witty personality will be missed. If desired, donations in Steven's memory may be made to the Erie County SPCA. Steven was such a kind person with a big heart and a caring soul. I loved his uniqueness and style.
Steven was a teenager when Aunt Darlene babysat my kids. He was around my boys when they were babies. Time went on and all the kids grew. However, anytime Steven and I would see each other, he always made it a point to ask how the boys were doing. He genuinely cared about them and was interested in what they were up to in life. I always appreciated that.
I remember when Steven was little and my Mom would watch him while Aunt Darlene worked. He was always so well behaved and calm for my Mom but the second his Mom walked into the house to pick him up he turned into a wild child! What happened to our little angel? That was not the same Steven we watched all day!
Steven will be missed very much and our family will always keep his memory alive.
