Nancy Ann Koons

Nancy Ann (Winans) Koons was born in Bloomington, Indiana on October 11, 1926 and passed away on February 7, 2026 in Bloomington Indiana at the age of 99.

Nancy went to school in Bloomington and graduated from Bloomington High School in 1943.

Nancy was married to Robert M. Koons on July 12, 1946, and were married for 72 years, until Robert's death in 2018.

Nancy worked at the Nurre Mirror Plate Company when she graduated, then at Tom O'Daniel Ford Motors, and later on at Hidbrader Motors, all in Bloomington.

After retirement, Nancy and Bob traveled and toured Ireland, Belgium, Luxembourg, Germany, France, and the west coast of the United States.

Nancy was preceded in death by her husband, Robert (Bob) M. Koons, and daughter Susan J. Koons.

Nancy is survived by a daughter, Kathy, and a son, Rick, Grandchildren and Great Grandchildren.

Nancy and Bob spent many retirement years at Meadowood in Bloomington, and had lots of fun at the

Noon meal sitting at the round table with their friends.

Nancy thoroughly enjoyed drying her bed sheets outside on a windy day, and cooking, especially vegetable soup. She worked a crossword puzzle everyday.

Nancy leaves behind two very special longtime friends, Wilma Jean Cornwell, and Marti Doering.
