Terry J. Cain

Terry J. Cain, 71, of Ellettsville, passed away at Hospice House in Bloomington on Tuesday, February 17, 2026.

He was born on November 18, 1954, in Bloomington to Irvin and Norma (Baxter) Cain.

Terry graduated from Edgewood High School in 1972 and retired from Otis Elevator after working there for thirty years. He was a member and supporter of Edgewood Mustangs Athletics and a fan and supporter of IU Athletics. He enjoyed playing and umpiring men's softball at Cascade Park, cooking out, and spending time with his friends and family.

Terry is survived by his parents, Irvin and Norma Cain; brother, David (Cindy) Cain; nieces, Cassie (Dave) Holmes and Courtney (Travis) Mitchell; great nephews, Kane Ubelhart and Lincoln Holmes; and great niece, Alex Mitchell.

A funeral service for Terry will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, February 25, 2026, at Allen Funeral Home in Bloomington with Rev. Richard Reed officiating. Visitation for family and friends will be held at the funeral home on Tuesday, February 24, 2026, from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. and one hour prior to the service on Wednesday. Burial will follow at Valhalla Memory Gardens.
