Our condolences to Tom's family and other friends. We knew him for decades and had already missed seeing him at regional train shows due to his illness. As others have said, he was one of the best model painters around and we're blessed with several treasured samples of his handiwork which we will continue to enjoy for many years to come. Tom's friendly, enthusiastic, and energetic personality added a lot of fun to any S scale meeting or convention, and we're so sad to lose him.

I came to get to know Tom through our mutual love of S Scale model trains. Got to know him better on car rides to club meetings. While I will most certainly miss Tom ....he has left behind some very fine models ..and every time I see a piece of his quality work, I will remember him fondly and know that in some small way he is still with all of us sharing in the world of model trains. My heart condolences go out to his family.

Tom was a friend and will be remembered fondly. We shared the same scale in model railroading and the same love for the B&O Railroad. Tom in his heyday was a master painter with superb modeling abilities. His life ended too soon but at least he is released from the affliction that took so much away from him.

A creative person, a good friend, and one who quietly traveled life carrying the hell of Viet Nam underneath. May he have peace forever.

Tom was both a customer and friend who spent many hours in my basement enjoying our common interest in model trains. He was a fun person to be with and I will miss him. May he rest in peace.

Tom and I met at a train show over twenty five years ago. We instantly became good friends. We shared many good times at shows and at each other's residence. More recent times were not good to Tom and he shared much about his private life. I found it emotionally difficult to visit him at the VA facility in Sandusky, OH. I was not aware that he was moved to Colorado. My condolences to Tom's family. A very kind and thoughtful person!

It's very sad to hear this. I know Tom had not been well, it is a blessing his suffering is at an end. We had some good times co-chairing a few of the train shows downtown. Tom was one of the class guys in the hobby to work with. He'll be remembered for his service to our Country, but also for his craftsmanship and as a true gentleman.

Sorry to hear of your loss. Tom and I went to OP High and rode the same bus back and forth. We had a lot of fun in those days and I always held a high regard for our friendship. My condolences on our loss.
