THOMAS BORSCHEL Obituary

BORSCHEL - Thomas J. "Tom (T.J.)" Died peacefully the morning of October 24, 2015, at the age of 67, with his son Brian, and daughters Kristy and Jenny, at his side after a brief struggle with Cancer. He had a loveable warmth about him and a kind, giving heart. He was a devoted husband and father, spending his free time with his family. Tom met his wife, Sharon, during his college years at Buffalo State, where Tom was a Hall of Fame athlete for his achievements in basketball, baseball and golf. In 2014, Tom retired as the CEO for the Heart & Vascular Institute of St. Petersburg in order to act as the primary caregiver for his wife, Sharon (67), who suffers from Alzheimer's. A lover of golf, Tom and his family were active members of the St. Petersburg Country Club, where Tom served as a member of the Board. Tom is survived by his wife, Sharon; his son, Brian, along with his wife, Elisa and their two children, Austin and Keira; his daughters, Kristy and Jenny, who reside in Jacksonville and his sisters, Linda Everding and Joane Borschel; as well as his brother, Walter Borschel and families. Tom lived a generous, meaningful life. He brightened and enriched the lives of all who knew him. Our love of Tom and our memories of him will live forever in all our hearts. A service will be held on, Monday, November 16th, at 4:00 P.M. Anderson McQueen Family Tribute Center, 2201 Dr. MLK Street North, St. Petersburg, FL. The family will receive friends at 3:00 P.M. Guests are invited to a celebration of life immediately following the service at St. Petersburg Country Club, located at 2000 Country Club Way S. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made first to Suncoast Hospice, The Alzheimer's Association, or the Annual T.J. Borschel Memorial Golf Tournament or online at http://memorial-donations.org/. Please visit his personalized online guestbook at www.andersonmcqueen.com
