Tommy Simon

"Teflon Tom" as we called him, has battled through a myriad of health issues since 2020, and fought through all of them. He lived and endured all of it with a smile just to spend more time with his family. His most-used phrase over the last few years was "I love my family."

On 6/10, his battle came to an end. He was the toughest man I´ve ever met, maybe the biggest Bills fan (dating back to the Rockpile), and an amazing father, grandfather and husband.

Over his last few days, we´ve spent most of the time just remembering all of the stories he had, and all of his friends and family. He loved every single one of you, and somehow still remembered details about every story and added context if I had anything wrong.

He loved his wife Linda Simon more than anyone; and how much she helped him as his health declined. His nurse Luann Myers and her were able to give him the help he needed for the last few years, and words can´t express my gratitude for all the bonus time we got to spend with Dad. The main reason was that Dad wanted to know and spend more time with his grandson Tommy.

Dad loved Tommy with all of his heart and seeing him with his grandson opened up a whole new side of him that was loving and amazing.

The Bills playoff draught came to an end the first time my Dad, myself, and Tommy all watched a game together. I´ll never forget the memory. This year, the Bills need to finally win one for him.

I know I speak for everyone that knew him when I say that he will never be forgotten.

Thank you to everyone for the outpouring of prayers and love that was sent during all of this; it means more to me than you know.

And finally, thank you Dad for all of the love, lessons and support. I miss you already and we love and appreciate everything you did for us more than you know.

So, cheers to my dad, Tom Simon. Go Bills.

Linda my deepest sympathy to you and your entire family on the passing of Tom. I worked with Tom at UPS for many many years. The days weeks and years we spent together were very special to me. He was a caring and considerate person who had a great sense of humor and valued his friendships. I was very fortunate to have been able to call him my friend. Thanks Tom for the fun and years of laughs that u gave me and so many others. Rest In Peace my good friend.
