May 20, 2023 of Blasdell, NY. Beloved friend of Arthur Tomczak; survived by her favorite sister Ann Marie Shaughnessy, favorite niece Sara Camman, loving great-niece Victoria McAuley, several cousins, and close friends. Veronica was a volunteer at the Buffalo and Erie County Botanical Gardens. Private services will be held at the family's convenience. I am so sorry for your loss. Ronnie was such a wonderful strong willed, sassy, intelligent women. I enjoyed the years I worked alongside her at the Buffalo Botanical Gardens. I wanted to share an email I wrote to the staff and volunteers at the Gardens:
Remembering Ronnie
Good Morning Staff & Volunteers
I hope this email finds you well. Today, I write to you with a heavy heart to share the news of the passing of our beloved volunteer, Veronica "Ronnie" Dapp. It is a profound loss for all of us at the Buffalo Botanical Gardens and the community we serve.
Ronnie was more than just a volunteer; she was a sassy quick witted soul who breathed life into our membership department for many years. She loved the Gardens, in the old days she was the only person processing the entire membership department. Her vibrant personality and unwavering dedication left an indelible mark on all of us who had the privilege of knowing her. She had an infectious energy that brightened every room she entered, and her sassy charm brought a sense of joy to even the most mundane tasks. I worked with Ronnie for years, and we even shared a desk at one point! I so enjoyed talking to her about everything under the sun, but mostly needlepoint and where her and Art, her friend, would be going to lunch. Her passion for our mission was truly inspiring, and her contributions will forever be treasured.
As we remember Ronnie, let us celebrate the profound impact she had on our organization and the countless lives she touched. She leaves behind a legacy of love, dedication, and sass that will continue to inspire us all. Her absence will be deeply felt, but her spirit will forever resonate within these walls. If you feel inclined to share any memories, stories, or moments of connection you had with Ronnie, please do not hesitate to reach out.
