Cathy Kay Dapp

Cathy Kay Dapp, 74, of Rossville passed from this mortal life on Monday, August 25, 2025, to experience her next big adventure. She was a native of Chattanooga, TN, and had lived most of her adult life in Fort Oglethorpe, GA. She was a very strong and independent Christian woman who deeply loved her family, especially her grandchildren.

Cathy was a long-term dedicated employee working for Buster Brown manufacturing children's clothing in Chattanooga. Prior to her retirement, she was employed with Gateway Hosiery.

Cathy enjoyed an evening out watching the Chattanooga Lookouts at the baseball stadium. She was also a fan of the Atlanta Braves and Falcons. Saturday mornings were spent roaming the local yard sales for some good buys with her family and enjoying lunch at her favorite restaurants. Cathy also loved music, especially that of the Eagles. So, when you hear "Hotel California" on the radio, think of her.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Douglas and Mariam Bales; her siblings, Marty, Marilyn, Ricky, and Kenneth.

Survivors include her husband, Christopher Dapp; her son, Christopher Lee (Megan) Cleek; her two grandchildren, Tristan and Abigail; her sister, Priscilla Pope; and many nieces and nephews.

The family requests that all attendees of Cathy's Celebration of Life dress casual as this is the way Cathy would want it.

A Celebration of Life will be held Saturday, September 6, 2025, from 1-3p.m. at the South Crest Chapel of Lane Funeral Home and Crematory, located at the end of historic Missionary Ridge, Rossville, GA.
