Dallas Cook Obituary

Dallas Henry Cook
Sept. 27, 1944-Feb. 15, 2022
Dallas Henry Cook, son of Dee and Clara (Procter) Cook, was born on September 27, 1944, in Fort Scott, Kansas, and departed this life on February 15, 2022, at his home in Buffalo, Missouri. He was 77 years old at the time of his passing.
Dallas was a Veteran serving in the Vietnam War as a Specialist in the United States Army. His term of service was three years.
Dallas greatly enjoyed fishing and being outside. He would frequently go for short walks either by himself or with his family. You could often find him sitting on the front porch and enjoying the sunshine whenever the weather cooperated. Dallas enjoyed putting together puzzles, observing the animals playing together in the house, spending time with his family, and watching children - especially his great-grandkids - play. He was an avid lover of westerns.
Dallas was a quiet person, not sharing much about his life even with his family; but he knew how to laugh and was quick to joke. His smile, overall pleasant demeanor, and gentle spirit will be greatly missed by his family and loved ones.
Dallas is survived by his wife, Daisy Cook; two brothers, Charles Cook and Dave Cook; one sister, Eva Foster; two daughters, Melissa (Rick) Enslow, and Helen (Ora) Miller; one son, Henry (Rhonda) Cook; one daughter-in-law, Kimberly Thomas; eight grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his brother Will Cook and son Jesse Thomas.
Funeral services will be held at 12:00 p.m. on Tuesday, February 22, 2022, at Cantlon-Otterness & Viets Funeral Home in Buffalo, Missouri. Interment will be in the Missouri Veterans Cemetery in Springfield, Missouri.
Visitation will be from 11:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. Tuesday at the Funeral Home.
In lieu of flowers donations will be accepted to help cover funeral expenses.
