Daniel Gallery Obituary
Mass of Christian Burial: 10:30 a.m. Monday, August 12, 2024, at the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, Masonville, Iowa, with Reverend Gabriel Anderson officiating.
Visitation: 3 to 7 p.m. Sunday and from 9 to 10 a.m. Monday at the Fawcett-Schmitz Funeral Home in Winthrop.
Interment: St. Mary Catholic Cemetery, Masonville.
Daniel Joseph Gallery was born October 22, 1958, in Manchester, Iowa, the son of Joseph Edmund and Mary Jane (Myers) Gallery. He was raised on the family farm near Winthrop. Dan was a 1977 graduate of East Buchanan High School.
Dan had a love for the farm and being outdoors. He enjoyed boating, water skiing, and deer hunting with family and friends but most of all, he enjoyed a drink at the local pub with friends.
Dan is survived by his Mother, Mary Jane Gallery of Independence; six Siblings: Dianne (Erwin) Henderson of Independence, Jane (Barrie) Ernst of Cedar Rapids, Jolayne (Dan "Boone") Kress of Winthrop, Victoria Nelson of West Des Moines, Krista (David "Bergy") Bergfeld of Winthrop, and James (Christie) Gallery of Winthrop; Niece and Nephews: Elliott (Allison), Alex (Kelly), Ethan (Farah), Estelle (Ryan), Ashley (Zach), Blair (Andrew), Matt (Kelly), Adam (April), Taylor (Samantha), Kaitlyn (Tony), Allyssa (Gabe), Nick (Emily), Blake (Lauran), Alayna, Kaylee, Addie, Joseph; and many Aunts, Uncles and Cousins.
He was preceded in death by his Father, Joe, on January 12, 2016; Brother-in-law, Brett Nelson on June 14, 2024; Maternal Grandparents, Victor and Cleo Myers; Paternal Grandparents, Francis and Stella Gallery; and a Great Nephew, Luke Joseph Kress.
