Robert Stecher Obituary
After serving in the military, Bob worked as a produce clerk at Acme supermarkets for his entire career. He was beloved by customers and colleagues alike.
He was a devoted caretaker for his mom and dad in their declining years. Bob was very proud of his home in Beverly and especially loved decorating it. He was happiest living life with his dogs and spending time with family and friends. He was kind, generous and outgoing. He was from the Big Band Era and loved to dance, especially at Turners Sports Club.
Bob is survived by his brother, Donald (Mary Ann), his sister, Marguerite Malone, as well as many nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews.
Services will be private at the request of the family.

Uncle Bob was very active & present in my life especially when i was growing up. All my life he was at every event, cook- out, holiday celebration, wedding, & family get together.
When I was in grade school, my mom would pick me up from
School, then stop at Grandmas house. Uncle & I used to “negotiate” watching Tv shows such as Mickey Mouse club (me) or American Bandstand (him) - he was always gracious of course. Mom had & has wonderful brothers who were excellent uncles to me- encouraging, loving, funny, understanding & accepting. Since Uncle Bob was single, he was especially involved in my life.
He loved being around people but he loved his canine babies even more.

I worked with Bob at the Lenola Rd Acme. He was a ray of sunshine for all who knew him as well as a magnet to all his female customers. They would wait in long lines just to see him. He loved everyone and always new how to brighten your day. Condolences to the family, and thank you for sharing your gem.

Bob was a wonderful friend & neighbor.
He spent many an hour at my parent's house in Beverly discussing world politics , the garden & their Riverside childhood memories.
