Age: 42 • Jericho
Jennifer Brace Hatch, 42 of Jericho passed away peacefully December 29, 2016 at the McClure Miller VNA Respite House in Colchester after a courageous 5-1/2 year battle with cancer. Her loving family were at her side.
Jennifer was born March 11, 1974 in Burlington, VT. She married Michael Hatch on June 27, 1998. They have two beautiful daughters, Sydney and Avrie.
Jennifer graduated in 1992 from Mt. Mansfield Union High School and Champlain College in 1994 with a degree in Respiratory Therapy. She then went to work for Fletcher Allen Hospital and remained there for the past 23 years. She loved her work and the people she worked with. During the time spent at Respite, she was showered with love, prayers, and blessing from her constant visits from family, friends and co-workers. She was a selfless, strong, and supportive soul.
Jennifer loved spending time with her family, her dogs Quinn and Hank, and her cat Ruby. She had a great love for country music and flower gardening. In the past five years she accomplished many of her wishes including a trip to Alaska, And Nashville, TN. She went zip lining in Belize and Alaska, white water rafting in GA, lobstering in ME and ocean fishing in NC. She also completed her first 10k after her second surgery.
Jennifer is survived by her husband Michael, daughters Sydney and Avrie, her parents Erwin and Judy Brace of Richmond, sister and brother-in-law Heather and Dan Hamilton of Jonesville, nephew Dylan and nieces Allie and Katie Hamilton, father and mother in law Alan and Susan Hatch of Milton, sister and brother in law Ada and Josh Cutler, nephews Joshua And William Cutler, sister in law Marjorie Hatch, her partner, Eric McKenzie, nephew Gregory and nieces Danielle and Nicole, and many aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Service will be held at Essex Alliance church in Essex on Saturday, January 7 at 11:00 am with a celebration of Jennifer's life following at the Lang Barn Garden.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the McClure Miller VNA Respite House or Mahana Magic.
