JOYCE LAFOUNTAIN Obituary

JOYCE LAFOUNTAIN - ESSEX JUNCTION - Joyce LaFountain, of Essex Junction, died peacefully at home with her family by her side on Monday, May 19, 2014. She was born in Burlington on April 12, 1937, the daughter of Solomon and Mary (Harris) Reuschel. She was a graduate of Burlington High School, Class of 1955, and on Feb. 9, 1966, she was married to Stanley LaFountain. Joyce enjoyed fishing, Bingo, swimming and being in her yard at home. And, most of all, spending time with her family She is survived by her husband, Stanley LaFountain of Essex Junction; daughters, Rose Salter, Dolores Burdo and husband, Robert, Judy Dean, Diana Dean, and Brenda Wood; grandchildren, Raymond Salter III, Melissa Salter, Travis Salter, Chris and Tina Salter, Corey Slater, Jennifer Burdo, Michael and Sarah Burdo, Brad and Renee LaFountain, Shantel Salter, Shannon Salter, Robert Norton, Tammy Norton, John Wood III, Crystal Wood, Christopher Dean, and Michael Dean; great-grandchildren, Savannah LaFountain, Alexis LaFountain, Zachary LaFountain, Micah Burdo, Emily Button, Madison Button, Ashley Burdo, Jazmine Salter, Mason Salter, Bryanna Salter, Lucas Pratt, Vanessa Salter, Jordan Salter, Kayla, Hope, Aidene, Dean, Alayna, Dusty, Mariah, Madison, Skylar, Jasmine, Tyler, Lily, Landon, Shannon, John IV, Brittany, Steven, Collin, Quinton, and Kaylena; three sisters, Doris Gordon, Betty Blanchard, and Jerri Root; two brothers-in-law, Larry LaFountain and Harold LaFountain; two sisters-in-law, Sheila LaFountain and Marsha LaFountain; two nephews, Charlie Root Jr. and Wayne Reuschel; and two nieces, Linda Fenton and Betty Anne Audette. She was predeceased by a daughter, Mary Dean; three brothers, Raymond, Charlie and Howard Reuschel; brother-in-law, Chester LaFountain; and two nephews, Robert Reuschel and Eddie Blanchard. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, May 24, 2014, at 1 p.m. in Holy Family Roman Catholic Church, with burial to follow in New Mount Calvary Cemetery in Burlington. Visiting hours will be held on Friday from 4 to 7 p.m. at the Ready Funeral Home Mountain View Chapel, 68 Pinecrest Dr., Essex Junction. To send online condolences, please visit www.readyfuneral.com.
