Deb, John, Jess and Erin,
Kyle, the 8 year old 2nd grader I knew, had a joie de vive that lasted a lifetime. He was a good student who excelled in socializing and recess! I don't remember anything but good things about him.
His funeral and the celebration of his life were truly amazing examples of the brilliant young man that little boy became. I'm so sorry I couldn't have known both. He will always be one of my favorites.
My thoughts and prayers are with you all.

Dear Mr. & Mrs. Magnus, Jess, Erin, Jane and extended family,
Kyle was tasked with covering my team while he was with Dealogic. At first memory, Kyle was the guy in meetings who sat at the end of the table and didn't say much. The more meetings & training sessions we attended together, the more we started to chat about life outside of work and a fast friendship bloomed. Kyle quickly became one of my closest and most trusted friends. A guy with a warm personality and huge heart who was also generous in time, talent & patience, sprinkled with a zest for life that was infectious. He was the whole package (and I imagine him grimacing at the thought right now). And that big smile! That smile lit up the room and connected everyone there. We used to joke that Rizzo was the mayor of the group, but it was really Kyle that was the glue that held everyone together. Kyle's family and friends were his world; what a joy to be a part of that extended family.
I was excited about his relocation opportunity and all the adventures that awaited him in London. He made the most of his time there, working hard, meeting new friends and traveling as if it was his second job. We chatted regularly as to not miss a beat and when he was in New York our catch up sessions stretched over endless dinners/drinks and it felt like he had never left. I never wanted those nights to end. All the laughter, endless chats and memories are something I will treasure and hold close to my heart always.
Extraordinary people like Kyle cross paths in your life just a few rare times. I feel so lucky, blessed and privileged to be a part of his life and call him a dear friend. Thank you for raising a wonderful son, brother and friend.
Rest easy, Mags. Know you were loved by so many and how much you will be missed.

Magnus Family,
I am one of the many friends Kyle made during his time at Dealogic, but our friendship went beyond the office as we spent much time together hanging out in NYC and London. Kyle's perseverant attitude and effervescent personality are two of his many glowing personality traits I won't soon forget. I can still see his big smile that would light up any room. He was loved by all and will deeply missed. Please accept my deepest condolences for your loss, but be assured that Kyle will long be remembered.

To the Magnus Family,
We offer our sincere condolences for your loss. Kyle was a great kid blessed with intelligence, a great attitude, a work ethic, and a wonderful engaging personality. I was fortunate to have the opportunity to coach Kyle, it was an absolute privilege. He displayed the courage to challenge himself, going against the wishes of his basketball coaches by playing football in his junior year. I can remember the smile on his face and the joy of his teammates after he scored a touchdown on a long pass play. Kyle was a joy to be around. His coaches and teammates loved him. Kyle was blessed with wonderful parents and a beautiful family who loved him dearly. He will undoubtedly be missed by all who knew him. May God Bless the Magnus Family...

I knew Kyle as a good colleague in our London office. However one little outside work question opened to me a great personality of him. Where to ski near NY? And I was sent to Vermont, Burlington, Kyle's homeland straight away. I was loaded with to do, to go, to stay, to ski list. And then I discovered land of maple syrup, New England ski resorts, pubs and restaurants. He gave me confidence of going and exploring. You'll be safe, - he said, and the people are really nice there. It was unforgettable adventure of my first ever trip to America.
This is one of the greatest episodes that Kyle left in our memories, minds and hearts.
He was handsome, tall, sporty and smart guy with a lot to offer and to share. He will be sorely missed.
My deepest condolences go out to Kyle's family and everybody who loved him.

My deepest sympathies to Kyle's loved ones. He was a man of great character, a tribute to his family. Kyle was incredibly charismatic and kind and came across as loving every moment of his life.
A couple of memories from working with him:
-there was a product a couple of us could never remember how to use, and when a client called with a query, we'd frantically look for Kyle. He was always gracious to help out, although it was no longer his remit
-Kyle gently but firmly turning down any plans that sounded like trouble. I remember telling him once he was the department's much needed guardian of good morality, which he found highly amusing
-telling a client I was leaving, only for them to hopefully ask if Kyle was taking over the account
My prayers are with Kyle's family and girlfriend.
