Michael often taught me more in minutes about a subject than others could in hours, and he always made it interesting and fun. I think of him often when I have a problem to solve, and it helps every time. Glad for every moment he gave me, and I hope I can pay the gift of his kindness and friendship forward.

I worked with Michael for years, and shared an office at our first few months at USPTO. He was always a kind, patient person who was always willing to lend a helping a hand. He was extremely brilliant and was so inquisitive. My very deepest condolences.

I worked with Michael the last six years at USPTO. I'll remember most how friendly and kind he was when I started and all through out our time here together. I always appreciated his insight and help. He will be greatly missed.

Michael was astonishingly patient and kind whenever we needed help or advice. He was happy to explain exactly how he solved problems (and he made it look easy!), and then take time to teach us how to do the same. But far more important, he was willing to share meaningful moments that enriched our lives. My deepest condolences to his family.

While working together at the USPTO, Michael was an extremely kind, helpful, and knowledgeable colleague. I learned something from him each time we spoke, and I always appreciated his willingness to explain things in a way that made sense to me and would help me going forward. I'm very sorry to hear of Michael's passing.

Michael was one of the sweetest people I have ever known. I will never forget his inquisitive and generous nature and his love for tabletop games. I hope his family and friends can find peace in this very unfortunate time.
