MICHAEL STEPHEN LUCHINI SOUTH BURLINGTON - Michael Stephen Luchini, 43, of South Burlington died unexpectedly Tuesday, April 28, 2009, surrounded by his family, in the Fletcher Allen Health Care from injuries sustained in a house fire. He was born in Burlington on April 11, 1966, the son of Stephen and Marilyn (Parot) Luchini. Michael attended South Burlington Schools. He was an avid sports fan and enjoyed watching baseball, especially the New York Yankees. He treasured spending time with his family, was proud to be an uncle, and loved playing cribbage, cards and other board games. He is survived by his parents; two sisters, Laurie Norris of Mansfield, Mass. and Kelly Luchini of San Francisco, Calif.; his brother-in-law, Ron Norris and his two nephews, Andrew and David; his maternal grandmother, Simone Parot of Colchester and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins. He was predeceased by his maternal grandfather, Clarence Parot, his paternal grandparents, Louis and Estaleen Luchini, and two cousins, Kevin Couture and Shannon Parot. Michael's family would like to give special thanks to the South Burlington Fire, Rescue and Police Departments, Dr. Bill Charash, the staff in ICU at FAHC and Darryl Arnold from Organ Procurement for all their care, compassion and support during this most difficult time. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, May 1 at 11 a.m. in Christ the King Roman Catholic Church. All are invited to meet the family at a reception following the mass.
