Denie loved being surrounded by her family at the numerous family gatherings that took place and enjoyed playing games with everyone; Yahtzee being a favorite. She made many trips to Las Vegas, Atlantic City, and Montreal and loved to play the slot machines there and on the cruise ships during the many trips she took with her family and friends. She also loved playing bingo. Denie worked many years in the Burlington area as a very well liked waitress, her last job being at Bove's restaurant. She had many patrons that enjoyed her services and made a lot of friends over the years while she worked outside the home. Bud and Denie also ran "Jakes Lickin Chicken" at the Champlain Valley Fair for 25 years. A memorial service will be held in North Avenue Alliance Church on Saturday, Feb. 7, at 2 p.m. In lieu of flowers donations may be sent to the American Lung Association or the American Cancer Society.
