ROGER WILLIAM KAIGLE - MILTON - Roger William Kaigle, 74, of Milton, devoted husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle and friend, passed away unexpectedly Saturday, June 9, 2012, in Fletcher Allen Health Care in Burlington, from complications arising following heart surgery. Roger was born Feb. 18, 1938, in Burlington, the son of the late Leo and Sylvia Pariseau Kaigle. He graduated from Burlington High School in 1957. He married Judith Ann Gonyo, his loving wife of 46 years, on Oct. 16, 1965, at St. Anthony's Catholic Church in Burlington. Roger spent 20 years working as a manager for First National Grocery Stores in New Hampshire and Vermont. He then spent 18 years at IBM in Essex Junction, until his 1996 retirement. During and after his retirement from IBM, he and Judy enjoyed operating their craft business, All Ways in Stitches, touring throughout the northeast. In recent years, he delivered prescriptions for Kinney Drugs in Milton. One of Roger's greatest joys was spending time with his family and grandchildren. He enjoyed golfing and participated in a league during his time at IBM. He also thoroughly enjoyed NASCAR racing, looking forward to his annual trips to Loudon with his son, Bill, and daughter-in-law, Jen. Roger is survived by his wife, Judy of Milton; their children, Pamela Menz and husband, Steven, of Georgia, and Bill Kaigle and wife, Jennifer, of Milton; grandchildren, Cassie and Zackary Menz of Georgia, and Anna and Evan Kaigle of Milton; brothers, Robert Kaigle and wife, Thelma, of South Burlington, and Leonard Kaigle of Bradenton, Fla.; sister, Beatrice Reynolds of Newport News, Va.; mother-in-law, Noella Gonyo of Clearwater, Fla.; sisters-in-law, Monica Kaigle, Ann Kaigle, and Janet Sterling and husband, Kenneth, all of Burlington; brother-in-law, Robert Gonyo of Clearwater, Fla.; and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by four brothers and two sisters. The family would like to express their deepest thanks to Dr. Mitch Norotsky and Surgical Intensive Care nurse, Diane Wilder, for the care and compassion they showed Roger and his family during this difficult time. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11 a.m. on Thursday, June 14, 2012, at St. Ann Catholic Church in Milton, with Fr. John Feltz, celebrant. There will be no burial.
