Theodore (TJ) Steven Bowen

Essex Junction - TJ went home to be with his Lord and Savior on February 27, 2021, unexpectedly. He was the beloved son of Theodore Bowen Sr. and Angela Morrill. TJ was born in Burlington, Vermont on June 17, 1988. Throughout his life he lived primarily in Chittenden and Addison Counties. He attended Mount Abraham High School in Bristol VT. He enjoyed studying horticulture, playing football, and spent two winters as a teenager logging in Lincoln. TJ worked at Rhino Foods Inc. as a batter maker, had many friends at work, and was very passionate about his job. His hobbies included playing Call of Duty online, playing football, and listening to 80s music.

TJ loved his family big, he was a life-long "Mama's Boy" and proud of it! He will be remembered for his sense of humor, positive energy, and ability to make everyone he came into contact with feel special. It was always a running joke that TJ was the smartest member of the family (and he was). He had a way with his words and could accomplish anything that he put his mind to. He was a proud father who loved to brag about his sons.

TJ is survived by his mother Angela Morrill of Essex Junction, father, Theodore (Ted) Bowen and stepmother Colleen Bowen of Newark Vt, his son Blake Bowen of Lincoln, (mom, Marley Heath), his son Noah Couture of Colchester (mom, Olivia Couture) Siblings, Donald Morrill of Winooski, Amber Morrill of Essex Junction, his confidant and little brother Nathan Morrill of Essex Junction, Meagan Morrill of Essex Junction, Jeremy Wimble of Essex Junction, Ricky Wimble of Boston MA, Jessica Wimble of St Albans, Christina Stryker of Richford, as well as step-siblings Nick Thompson of St Johnsbury, Lindsay Miller of Sheffield, Devin Carten of Barre. TJ leaves his Aunts, Uncles cousins, and many friends. He also leaves his childhood best friend and cousin Shawn Morrill of Richmond.

TJ is predeceased by his maternal grandparents, Mary Tyrell of Burlington VT, and Richard Morrill Sr. of Burlington, paternal grandparents Eldonna Bowen of St Johnsbury VT, and William Bowen of Richmond, along with son, Noah Bowen. TJ passed away with his significant other, Michelle Bessette; whom he and his entire family loved.

Arrangements are in the care of LaVigne Funeral Home and Cremation Service. Visiting hours will be held at Lavigne Funeral Home on Tuesday, March 9th from 4:00 pm-6:00 pm. Due to COVID-19, we ask that all who attend wear masks and respect social distancing measures where applicable.
