Jamie: Your dad was one of most kind and compassionate persons I have ever met. I remember the extraordinary kindness that Rae and Walter showed Sharon and I many years ago. Your family was so caring and generous to us

Jim,
Many times I have repeated the words of my father who said, "the best compliment a person can get is to be called a good neighbor." Your father certainly was a "good neighbor."
He was the only person my father thought enough of to sell off a piece of the farm land outside of the family. Years later, when my
daughter and husband were trying to build a new home and ran into a slight glitch, your father offered to help at what could have been risky to his own land holdings. In the end, they found an alternative, but I will never forget your father's offer. His service to Middlesex was exemplary and is a model for all of us who serve our communities - and he did it without reimbursement. My thoughts are with all of the Kelley extended family. Walt was a dear man and a great face of the Middlesex Community. I will miss seeing him at Town Meeting and in and around town. Our thoughts to your family.
