Chase Longo Obituary

Chase A. Longo, 21, of Walnut Street, Emlenton, passed away unexpectedly Sunday morning in Pittsburgh.
Chase was born Jan. 31, 1995, in Pittsburgh. He was the son of Carrie A. Hackwelder-Longo and the late Bryan S. Longo.
He was a 2013 graduate of Allegheny-Clarion Valley High School in Foxburg, and he was a junior engineering student at the University of Pittsburgh.
He was a member of the Beloved Disciple Roman Catholic Church in Grove City. Chase had been employed at the Allegheny Grille in Foxburg. He enjoyed playing his guitar, songwriting, performing, playing paintball, intramural basketball and camping. He liked driving his BMW and the company of his friends.
In addition to his mother, Carrie A. Hackwelder-Longo of Emlenton, Chase is survived by his sister, Sadie E. Longo of Emlenton; his maternal grandfather, William D. Hackwelder of New Wilmington and his paternal grandmother, Jeanie Longo of Pittsburgh; four uncles, Eric V. Hackwelder and his wife, Sandy, of Erie, Jamie D. Hackwelder and his wife, Nuria, of Grove City, William "Billy" Hackwelder of New York, N.Y., and Jason Hackwelder and his wife, Tara, of Butler; and a number of cousins and many good friends.
In addition to his father, Chase was preceded in death by his maternal grandmother, Jeanne Hackwelder.
LONGO - Friends of Chase A. Longo, who died Sunday, Feb. 21, 2016, will be received from 6 to 8 p.m. today and from 1 to 3 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the Hile Funeral Home, 1204 Kerr Ave., Emlenton.
A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Friday at St. Michael the Archangel Roman Catholic Church, Emlenton, with the Rev. Michael Allison, pastor of Beloved Disciple Roman Catholic Church, officiating, assisted by the Rev. Mr. Nick Cirell, deacon.
A vigil service will be at 7:30 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home with the Rev. Mr. Nick Cirell, deacon, at St. Michael the Archangel Parish, officiating.
Memorial contributions in Chase's name may be made to the A-CV Music Boosters or the A-CV High School Library, P.O. Box 345, Foxburg, PA 16036.
