Don Yasinsky Obituary

With sad hearts, the family of Don Yasinsky regret to announce his passing on Sunday, May 19, 2024.
Don was a native to Butler, and he grew up the only son of the late Michael and Sophie (Kowal) Yasinsky of Highfield.
A graduate of Penn State University with a bachelor's degree in English, Don went on to receive his master's degree in professional and technical writing from Carnegie Mellon University. He had a lengthy and accomplished career as a technical writer, culminating in a publications specialist senior position at General Dynamics Mission Systems for the last 17 years.
Don married Laura in 1997 and began building their family shortly thereafter.
Don's children, Emily and Alexander, were the love of his life. He could not have been prouder of them for their accomplishments and subsequent graduations from Allegheny College and Chatham University.
Don leaves behind his wife, Laura Lee (Garris); daughter, Emily Patrice; son, Alexander Michael; and his beloved golden retriever, Lily, and adopted bichon, Louie.
YASINSKY - There will be no public viewing for Don Yasinsky, who died Sunday, May 19, 2024, with the option of a celebration of life at a later date.
The family wishes for remembrances to be made through donations to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital or the Butler County Humane Society, in lieu of flowers.
Arrangements are by GEIBEL FUNERAL HOME, 201 E. Cunningham St., Butler.

My best friend in life. The kindest and funniest man I ever knew. The world lost a beautiful light and may God shine it brightly when it is our time to lead his back to him, our great friend Don.
