Although I knew john but in the twilight, his easy laughter, joking remarks, and great smile, all herald to an earlier time. John has moved on to join with the Great Architect of the Universe, leaving me to ponder how I am diminished by the regret of not having known the wit from those earlier years. He is not an island and I will remember when the bell tolls.

Linda, I never knew your father but I just wanted to let you know, he provided me with one of my fond chilhood memories. How I envied the man who drove the Linde Air truck when I walked to school that parked in the alley across from West End School. I just had to write you as an old classmate that never forgot our days at West End and extend my deepest sympathy in your loss.
