Mark was one of my memorable art students. He loved Tabassco and his father took him to a Tabassco plant, I believe, in Louisiana. I remember this vividly since when Mark returned from the trip he did an awesome painting he called "The Moss Pickers". So, so bright and talented. A memorable student. He was a force!

Dr. Campbell was a caring individual. He really cared about the students he helped. My son was switching majors and Dr. Campbell helped him with this schedule and met with my son many times to ease his anxieties. He was wonderful individual and will be greatly missed by the University and his students. My condolences to his family.

Jeannie and Larry,
My thoughts and prayers are with you as you grieve the loss of your son. I, too, have lost a son and understand the hole that it leaves in your heart. It sounds as though he was a great guy.

Dr. Campbell was truly instrumental in making our transferring son feel as if his schedule was set on the only day we accompanied him to the campus to make the necessary arrangements. Our son had changed his major from the time of interest to the time of paying money down, and he was worried about having a rather useless schedule the first day and having to chase around and fix everything. Somehow we got referred to Dr. Campbell and just like that, magic happened! Our son got into classes he didn't expect, and his full scientific + liberal arts courses were in place. Our son graduated in '17 with a major in biology, cum laude, and is now in graduate school. We are firm believers we were meant to meet Dr. Campbell and are grateful for the stepping stone he provided for our son. We will always miss him.

I am so sorry to hear about Mark. He was such a godsend to our son at SRU after the sudden death of his sister. Mark was always patient and kind. He is one of the reasons that our son graduated from SRU in May. He was a true inspiration to our son and will be a great loss to the SRU community. What an amazing man. Thoughts and prayers to his family and friends.

I only know Mark through my daughter, Christa, who always spoke well of him and was grateful for his kindness towards her. I just want to send my prayers to the family and especially Mimi. I can imagine how you feel because I have a twin and understand how close twins can be and what a loss you are experiencing. God bless you all.
