Melissa Kessler Obituary
Missy graduated from Vern Riffe School and she attended Easter Seals Adult Day Services.
A Celebration of Missy's Life will be held at 6 P.M. at the Ralph F. Scott Funeral Home in Portsmouth on Friday, September 26, 2025.
Visiting hours will be from 4 to 6 P.M. prior to the service.

It´s been a month and still hard to believe. I have so many good memories with Missy and Laura. Missy was a beautiful person who helped me delight in life. I loved the times we shared and will always hold them close. My thoughts remain with you Laura. Thank you for letting me be a small part of Missy´s life.

I was Missy's teacher and we had a lot of fun learning together. She was a pleasure to have in class and her smile made my day. Missy was learning to use a picture board and to verbalize wants and needs. I was so proud of her and the way that she tried so hard during our lessons.
One special memory was when Missy and I went to Wendy's together and Missy independently ordered her meal and a frosty for me. What an accomplishment!!
Missy enjoyed going to the zoo with our class and dancing with the Cirque d'Art Theatre group. She was a Joy, and I will never forget her and Paula. They were a blessing to me.

I knew Missy from Cornerstone Church of Portsmouth as Laura brought her to Worship Services
and other activities at our church.
Missy and I had a special
relationship. I loved Missy and will carry her memory in my heart.
