Raymond C. Graham
Raymond C. Graham, 93, of Shelbourne Assisted Living, Butler, formerly of Harlansburg, passed away the morning of Oct. 16 at his home.
Born April 4, 1916, in Ellwood City, he was the son of Charles and Effie Johnson Graham.
He married Verle Ruth McCurdy on Oct. 12, 1940. She passed away April 2, 1999.
Ray was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II, serving with the 473rd Ordinance Evacuation Unit as a sergeant.
He retired from Etna Standard as a machinist.
Ray was a member of the Harlansburg Presbyterian Church, where he formerly was a trustee.
He was a member of the Paws & Taws, enjoyed travel and had restored a 1917 Model-T Ford car.
Ray is survived by a son, Ronald R. Graham of Knoxdale; a daughter and son-in-law, Linda R. and Don Miller of Saxonburg.; seven grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
In addition to his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by three brothers, Elmer Graham, James Graham and George Graham; and three sisters, Jennie Smith, Pearl Rodgers, and Beulah McCurdy.
GRAHAM - Visitation and services for Raymond C. Graham, who died Friday, Oct. 16, 2009, were held at the R. Cunningham Funeral Home and Crematory, New Castle. The Rev. Monica Hamilton of the Harlansburg Presbyterian Church officiated. Burial was at the Mount Hermon Cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Harlansburg Presbyterian Church, 385 Old Route 19, New Castle, PA 16101.
