Sandra Jane Gutowski

1951 - 2025

Sandra Jane (Newton) Gutowski, 73, of Cranberry Township, passed away Sunday, April 13, 2025.
Born Sept. 21, 1951, in Erie, she was the daughter of the late James E. and Betty L. Newton.
Sandra graduated from Fort LeBoeuf High School in 1969, before pursuing her associate degree at Erie Business Center. She had a lengthy and vibrant career, starting in the Cleveland Clinic, she then worked as a telephone programmer, followed by working for Iron and Steel Society, and West Penn Hospital, where she fulfilled various clerical duties and roles. Finally, Sandra was employed by BNY Mellon, which she retired from after 16 years. She was a beloved Girl Scout leader as well as a Penn State Master Gardener.
She leaves behind to cherish her memory, her loving husband, James A. Gutowski; her children, Megan E. Gutowski and fiancé, Allen Lowther, Katherine (Stephen) Schoppe and Patricia Newton Kenny; her grandchildren, Elizabeth, Bryson, Madeline, Maxwell, Waylon, Cora and Everly; her nieces, Laura and Beth Rudolph; and her beloved dog, Lilibet.
In addition to her parents, Sandra was preceded in death by her siblings, Gary W. Newton and Linda L. Newton; her niece, Amy R. Rudolph; and her sister-in-law, Sharon Gutowski.
GUTOWSKI - Friends and family of Sandra Jane (Newton) Gutowski, who died Sunday, April 13, 2025, will be received from 5 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, April 16, at BOYLAN FUNERAL HOME, 324 E. Grandview Ave., Zelienople.
She will be laid to rest at English Lutheran Cemetery in Zelienople.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in Sandra's honor to Phipps Conservatory and Botanical Gardens, One Schenley Park, Pittsburgh, PA 15213.
