Thomas H. Holt Jr.
Thomas Hemmington "Tom" Holt Jr., 64, of Buttercup Road, Butler, died at 7:02 p.m. Sunday in Butler Memorial Hospital.
Born Jan. 17, 1944, in Butler, he was the son of Thomas H. Holt Sr. and L. Maxine Young Holt.
Mr. Holt was retired from AK Steel, retiring May 31, 2003.
He was a member of St. Paul's United Church of Christ in Connoquenessing.
Mr. Holt had served in the Air Force.
Mr. Holt is survived by his wife, Susan E. Dickey Holt, whom he married Oct. 6, 1967; two sons, Christopher R. Holt and Timothy N. Holt, both of Butler; two granddaughters, Caroline R. Holt and Madalyn S. Holt; the mother of the grandchildren, Nicole L. Holt of Pittsburgh; four brothers, Larry Holt and his wife, Pat, of Butler, Robert Holt of Warren, Ohio, Richard Holt and his wife, Lorraine, of Butler and Kevin Holt and his wife, Beth, of Butler; five sisters, Marlene and her husband, Ralph Skelley, of Butler, Lana McKinnis of Renfrew, Paula and her husband, John Shannon, of Mercer, Deborah Wonderling of Butler and Roberta Hodge of Butler; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Mr. Holt was preceded in death by his infant grandson, Andrew C. Holt.
HOLT - Friends of Thomas Hemmington "Tom" Holt Jr., who died Sunday, Jan. 11, 2009, will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday at the Thompson-Miller Funeral Home Inc., 124 E. North St. Services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home with Pastor Norman Tutino of St. Paul's United Church of Christ in Connoquenessing and the Rev. Dr. Robert C. Peterson of St. John's Reformed Church in Butler officiating. Interment will follow in Greenlawn Burial Estates.
Contributions may be made to St. Paul's United Church of Christ, Constitution Avenue, Connoquenessing, PA 16027.

My deepest sympathy to Tommy's family.I have know the family almost my whole life due to being neighborsw/ Patty Holt when she and Larry marrerd and went to school w/ Richy and I worked w/ Tommy at Armco. He was always smiling and happy and a joy to work with.He was a great and kind soul and I know he will be missed very much. My prayers are with you all!
