My heart goes out to the family at this difficult time. Know that Tom is in a much better place now, free from pain and suffering. We were classmates many years ago. You are all in my prayers.

You are now in a place where there are no tears, no pain and we are made new. I also will lift up your family in my prayers that God will give them peace that passes all understanding and that He will wrap His arms around them and give them strength as they go through this sad time. I didn't get to know you well as a classmate either, but I hope to get to know you when I meet you in Heaven someday.

You're home Tom! You've crossed the finish line! And now we who remain behind wait in joyful hope until we are all together again. In prayer, I will place your family in God's Loving and Comforting Arms for His Strength and Peace. Although I didn't get to know you well as a classmate, as one with me in the Body of Christ, I will miss you!
