INGLESIDE, TX
Billy Purnell Dendy, age 73, passed away at home on January 31, 2018. He was born June 16, 1944 in Corpus Christi, Texas to William and Mabel "Jewel" Dendy. Bill was a lifelong resident of Ingleside, Texas. He was dedicated to his family and community. His life's work was put into his family business, Bill's Auto Supply, which he opened in early 1 970 and ran with his wife and son. He was a member of city council, the board of adjustments, planning and zoning commission, charter review committee, and also a little league coach.
Bill is preceded in death by his parents, William and Mabel "Jewel" Dendy, sister, Constance Dendy, and grandson Robert Purnell Dendy Jr. He is survived by his loving wife of over 54 years, Peggy Dendy, son Bobby (Chula) Dendy of Ingleside, granddaughters Jessyca (Mark) Varela of Portland and Bailey Dendy of Ingleside, and great-grandchildren Kasen Coffield and Myla Varela.
Visitation will be from 5:00p.m to 9:00 p.m. on Thursday, February 1, 2018 at Charlie Marshall Funeral Home in Aransas Pass, TX. Funeral Service and Celebration of Life will be at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, February 2, 2018 at Charlie Marshall Funeral Home Chapel.
Interment will follow at Prairie View Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, the family would like donations made to the "Bill Dendy Scholarship Fund" in care of Ingleside ISD, (361)776-7631. Funeral Services have been entrusted to Charlie Marshall Funeral Homes and Crematory.
