Bobbie Dennis Obituary

DENNIS Bobbie Jean Dennis was born in Gonzales, Texas on October 6, 1934 to Robert and Veda Charleston. She later moved to Ingleside, Texas where she then attended Solomon Coles High School; she led a major role in being a cheerleader and Majorette. Bobbie accepted Christ at an early age and dedicated her life as being a gospel singer. Bobbie was a wife to her husband Alzonia Dennis Jr. for 57 years, mother to her children as well as Mother of Living Rock Church, where she was also a gospel singer. She was devoted to God, saving souls, leading people to church and keeping her family united and not divided.She is preceded in death by her parents, Robert and Veda Charleston; one son Robert Ray Dennis, two brothers, Winston and Fornia Charleston; sister, Margarete Walker.Bobbie is survived by her husband and soulmate, Alzonia Dennis Jr.; three sons, Alzonia (Nellie) Dennis III, Pastor Ronald (Charlotte) Dennis and Vernon Dennis and fiancé, Leann Garcia; three daughters, Patricia (Dan) Murphy, Gwendolyn (Robert) Williams, Valerie (Gregory) Brady all of Corpus Christi, TX; Bobbie leaves to cherish three special great-grandchildren, Victor, Victoria and Velann Dennis who lived with her and had a special bond; 1 special living aunt, Ralstine Miller; also a loving sister-in-law, Nellie Charleston, 22 special grandchildren; 24 special great-grandchildren; 1 special great-great-grandchild; and a host of nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends. The wake and visitation will be from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. on Thursday, January 21, 2010 at Seaside Funeral Home.Funeral Service will be at 11 a.m. on Friday, January 22, 2010 at Thompson Chapel, 2933 Carver Dr.Interment to follow at Seaside Memorial ParkIn lieu of flowers donations may be made to Seaside Funeral Home/ Thompson Chapel.To view guestbook, share memories and leave condolences, please visit www.seasidefuneral.com
