DONNA REMUS Obituary

DONNA MAE REMUS, 61, a resident of Rockport, Texas passed away in a Corpus Christi hospital after a courageous battle with brain cancer. She was born May 25, 1945 in Brunswick, Maine to Donald M. and Mae Belle E. Opp. Donna was a very loving and devoted wife. mother, and grandmother. She loved going to the beach and her hobbies were gardening, bingo and traveling to Casinos. She was a people person and loved to lend a hand to anyone in need. She was an activities director at many area nursing homes; most recently at Bayshore Nursing & Rehab in Aransas Pass, Texas. She was a member of Peace Lutheran Church. Donna was preceded in death by her parents. She is survived by her loving husband and companion of 29 years, Peter Remus of Rockport, Texas, 2 daughters, Denise (John) Leskoske of Honolulu, Hawaii, and Amanda Lynn (Jeremy) Woodard of Rockport, Texas, 1 brother, Kenneth (Bonnie) Opp of Brunswick, Maine, 1 sister, Linda (Ronald) Crocker of Brunswick, Maine, 6 grandchildren, Heather (Cory Graham) Kendrick of Jacksonville, Florida, Marina Leskoske of Honolulu, Hawaii, Devin Woodward, Ethan Woodard, Mariah Woodard, and Christian Woodard, all of Rockport, Texas, aunt and uncle, Gertrude "Grammy" and Webb "Bones" Haney of Brunswick, Maine, numerous nieces and nephews and a host of friends.Private family services will be held at a later date.
