Edward J. Dittlinger of Granbury, Texas passed December 26, 2018 at the age of 95.
E.J. was born July 30, 1923 in Robstown, Texas and graduated from Robstown High School in 1940. He was a former resident of Corpus Christi, San Antonio and Annaville before settling in Granbury. E.J. was a World War II veteran, retired civil service from the Corpus Christi Army Depot and retired from the Air Force Reserve. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus.
E.J. was preceded in death by his parents; sister; and his wife of 72 years, Iline Zapalac. Survivors include son, James (Margie) of Hunt, Tx; daughter, Joeline Geick (Glenn) of Bellville, Tx; sister-in-law, Nell Hurt; six grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and many loving nieces and nephews.
Memorial Mass: 10:30 a.m. preceded by the Rosary at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, January 19, 2019 at St. Frances Cabrini Catholic Church, Granbury, Tx.
